It’s funny to realize that you’re aging, I say this because of the realization that kids born in 1990 are quickly approaching 20, and the idea you had of them being this young group of kids who were obsessed with Hannah Montana goes flying right out the window, when you see them stealing beer from a keg.
Anyway, it’s a slow week, and I’m sick so don’t expect much.
Monday
Paul Slavens, and that’s about it.
Tuesday
I’ve known many a girl that’s tried to use Jenny Lewis as their personal idol/inspiration, it always leads to them doing something like growing their hair out a bit too long, or listening to “Portions for Foxes” over and over. I don’t hold any of that against Ms. Lewis, hell her music is top notch, and she was in the world’s longest commercial The Wizard.
I’m less then enthused about opener Heartless Bastards.
Wednesday
Are the Rangers in town?
Thursday
I love Manned Missiles, those guys mange to step away from their laid back personality vibe, and create rollicking music that’s griping in it’s scope of what rock’n’roll should sound like. Spooky Folk is band that comes highly recommended to me by several people, yet I’ve never had the time to do more then a cursory listen to their myspace. Mental Dentist is serving as the producer for the MM ep that’s currently being recorded so I assume he’s legit.
We’ve been over MATAS quite a bit around these parts, we love them, so we’re more then a little excited abotu them opening for the Starlight Mints, and Evangelicals at the Granada, two high energy bands that offer alot.
Friday
I hate you Ben Kweller, you and your catchy, catchy pop music.
Saturday
go to Annex House.
Sunday
Sleep
This was the weakest Rundown ever.
Dude, I told you. Once you have Full Blown Aids, or the FBA as we call it, you have to stop it with the nursing home visits. I like stealing from the old ladies as much as the next man, but the’re not sterile places sir…not sterile at all.
We just launched a new website. Also what’s up with the pics from the annex? Can you send those over?
